Herman Moore in the NFL

Moore entered into business in the early 2000s after a 12-year career as one of the most productive wide receivers in NFL league history. He spent 11 seasons with the Detroit Lions (1991-2001) and one with the New York Giants (2002), selected by the Lions in the first round (10th overall) of the 1991 NFL Draft. He was named to the NFL Pro Bowl on four occasions (1994-97) and NFL All-Pro three times (1995-97). In October 2007, Herman Moore was among 124 modern-era players, coaches, and contributors on the preliminary list of nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2008. Moore was one of only seven other first-year eligibles to make the list. He was inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 2010.

Herman Moore at Virginia

Moore played college football at the University of Virginia (1988-90) where he was a two-time All-American wide receiver, earning first-team honors in 1990. At Virginia, he became the all-time ACC leader for receiving yards in a single season with 1,190 in 1990 and established career records for touchdown receptions (27) and receiving yards (2,504). He was inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame in 2010. Following his playing career, Moore became a successful NFL analyst, promotional products vendor, Cinnabon franchise group owner, and business consultant to corporate and nonprofit clients. In 2003, Moore was honored as one of Crain’s Detroit Business 40 under 40.
