He spent 11 seasons with the Detroit Lions (1991-2001) and one with the New York Giants (2002), selected by the Lions in the first round (10th overall) of the 1991 NFL Draft. He was named to the NFL Pro Bowl on four occasions (1994-97) and NFL All-Pro three times (1995-97). In October 2007, Herman Moore was among 124 modern-era players, coaches, and contributors on the preliminary list of nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2008.
